CHLORISOL
Coolant based on calcium chloride
CHLORISOL is a calcium chloride solution that can be adjusted to the desired concentration by adding water.
Areas of application include technical and food cooling systems where low temperatures with low viscosity are required and which are primarily constructed from steel (ST 37 or comparable).
Product characteristics
CHLORISOL is supplied as a calcium chloride solution and is adjusted to the desired concentration with water. For evaporator pre-runs, at least 5K frost protection must be added.
CHLORISOL must not be mixed with carbonate brines, as this will cause gite-like precipitations that will clog the pipelines in a very short time.
The pH value of CHLORISOL in the working solution is between 7.5 and 9.5, and must never fall below 7.0, otherwise steel components will be attacked.
CHLORISOL is suitable for use in steel systems. Stainless steels are not protected, as the high chloride concentration causes pitting corrosion. Non-ferrous metals, copper, zinc and aluminum cannot be used, as they may be attacked.

Other areas of application include industrial cooling systems or ground freezing applications. CHLORISOL can be used as a concentrate or as an aqueous dilution, depending on the desired frost protection.

The pH value of CHLORISOL in the working solution is between 7.5 and 9.5. A pH value of 7.0 should not be undercut, otherwise steel components will be attacked.
CHLORISOL should be disposed of properly in accordance with legal regulations. Please contact your local waste disposal company for proper disposal of the used coolant.
CHLORISOL and all dilutions have good storage stability. They should be stored in a dry, well-ventilated place and direct sunlight should be avoided.
