    ®PEKASOLar 100 and its dilutions are colorless and odorless liquids based on propylene glycol with newly developed additives, specially designed for use in flat plate and vacuum tube collectors and their combinations with heating systems, ground probe systems and heat pumps.

    Product characteristics

    A combination of additives and inhibitors permanently prevents the formation of scale and corrosion. ®PEKASOLar 100 protects all metallic materials commonly used in system construction. ®PEKASOLar 100 is free of borates, phosphates, silicates, amines, nitrites and nitrates.

    We recommend diluting ®PEKASOLar 100 exclusively with deionized water (distilled water) to avoid introducing harmful substances such as chloride, sulfate or hardite agents into the system via tap water.

    Operating temperatures of 200°C should not be reached continuously and temperatures of 250°C only briefly, otherwise the product base (propylene glycol) will be affected and this can lead to thermal decomposition. The service life of the heat transfer fluid decreases the higher the thermal load.

    PEKASOLar 50 is a ready-to-fill, 45% dilution of ®PEKASOLar 100 with frost protection down to -28°C.

    ®PEKASOLar 100 and its dilutions are colorless and odorless liquids based on propylene glycol with corrosion inhibitors, specially designed for use in flat plate and vacuum tube collectors and their combinations with heating systems, ground probe systems and heat pumps.

    ®PEKASOLAR 100 is available as a concentrate for on-site dilution or as a ready-to-fill dilution. We recommend diluting ®PEKASOLar 100 exclusively with deionized water (distilled water) to avoid introducing harmful substances such as chloride, sulfate or hardite agents into the system via tap water. A concentration of 30 vol.% should not be undercut.

    Operating temperatures of 200°C should not be reached continuously and temperatures of 250°C only briefly, otherwise the product base (propylene glycol) will be affected and this can lead to thermal decomposition. The service life of the heat transfer fluid decreases the higher the thermal load.

    ®PEKASOLar 50 is a ready-to-fill, 45% dilution of ®PEKASOLar 100 with frost protection down to -28°C. This dilution is sufficient for frost protection in most solar thermal applications in our latitudes.

    Of course, we also provide any other possible dilution or frost protection level.

    ®PEKASOLar 100 and all dilutions have good storage stability. They should be stored in a dry, well-ventilated place and direct sunlight should be avoided. Keep containers tightly closed at all times to prevent contamination.

    ®PEKASOLar 100 dilutions do not separate, even after extended storage periods.

    We generally recommend not mixing ®PEKASOLAR 100 dilutions with solar fluids from other manufacturers, even if the product base propylene glycol is the same. These high-performance products typically only work optimally when all components are manufacturer-specifically matched to each other. If ®PEKASOLar 100 is still to be mixed with other heat transfer fluids, we will confirm after an analysis in our service laboratory whether this is possible or whether problems may occur.
